Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps & Refrigeration

Important Regulatory Compliance Notice.
As part of our commitment to safety and compliance with government regulations, we are required by law to ensure that your installation includes an isolator. This not only meets legal standards but also safeguards your insurance coverage. Adhering to these regulations is crucial for your protection and peace of mind. We appreciate your cooperation in this essential aspect of the installation process.
Warranty and Certified Installers.
- Credible Installers Only: Your warranty is valid only if installations are performed by Sirair-certified installers. Using non-certified installers will void your warranty.
- Manuals and Error Codes: Download our user manuals and error code booklets to empower your installer with the necessary information of the unit in question.
Preparation and Site Requirements.
- Check Installation Sites: Ensure installation areas or wall(s) are free from water and electrical pipes to avoid service disruptions.
- Proper Sizing: Verify that the air conditioner is the correct size for your room.
- Safe Working Space: Provide a safe workspace for installers, following health and safety protocols.
- Electricals: Ensure your DB box can withstand the additional source of power the unit(s) will incur to avoid potential safety hazards.
Structural and Electrical Considerations
- Wall Integrity: Inform us of any weak walls to prevent exterior damage. We are not liable for damage to weak structures.
- Scaffolding: For installations above ground level, provide scaffolding or arrange for us to supply it at an additional cost.
- Electrical Requirements: Units from 9,000 to 18,000 BTU do not need connection to the DB box. Units from 24,000 to 60,000 BTU require a circuit breaker; ensure electrical prerequisites are ready before the site visit. Ensure power socket(s) are near the installation area or wall(s). Report power issues, such as load shedding, in advance to allow us to dispatch a generator if needed.
Equipment and Accessories
- Standard Accessories: Installations include Brackets, Pencil Dryers, Nuts & Unions, Conduit, Trunking, Armor flex, and piping kits (piping kits come included FREE when purchasing a Sirair domestic air-conditioner).
- Installation Tools: We use drills, ladders, and grinders. Ensure no power cables or water pipes obstruct the drilling area.
Service and Fees
- Service Range: Installations start at a fixed price for the first 40 km from our HQ in Midrand. Additional charges apply per km beyond 40 km.
- Call-Out Fee: A call-out fee is required for installations.
- Heat Pump Installations: We do not perform in-house heat pump installations but can refer a responsible installer for your safety.

Post Installation
- Renovations and Repairs: We do not provide renovation or refurbishment services. After drilling, we fill holes and paint only the areas we worked on.
- Quote and Payment: Once your quote is processed and payment is received, we will schedule your installation.
