SIRAIR Terms and Conditions of sale, supply, installation and maintenance.
Important Legal Notice: Please read these terms and conditions carefully before engaging in any transactions or services with Sirair. By proceeding, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.
Warranty Information
Sirair Midwall Split Non Inverter Units: 5 years on the unit, 5 years on the compressor.
Sirair Midwall Split Inverter Units: 5 years on the unit, 10 years on the compressor.
Sirair Commercial Units: 3 years on the unit, 5 years on the compressor.
Aircurtain: 1 year on the unit
Air cooler: 1 year on the unit
Sirair Heat2O Geyser Heat Pump: 2 years.
Sirair Inverwatt Pool Heat Pump: 2 years.
Starke Fridge Compressors (R134a): 3 months.
Vacuum Pumps: 3 months
Quotation Validity/ Price and Availability:
- Quotation Validity: Our quotations are valid for 7 days. Sirair reserves the right to withhold the sale of expired or “special ordered” items.
- Prices and Availability: Prices and quotes are subject to stock availability, which may change daily.
Correct Unit Size/ Authorized Service:
- ALL units must be installed by Sirair or a qualified Sirair recommended Installer.
- Recommended installers do not represent Sirair and are independent entities. Arrangements must be made directly with them.
- Sirair gives a warranty on the product.
Payment and Scheduling:
- Sirair requires full upfront payment, and funds must be cleared for installation scheduling.
- Installation will be scheduled within 4 working days from cleared funds.
- Installations do not include additional work (e.g., patching, painting, electrical work), which will be charged separately.
Warranty:
- Unit size installed must be correct for the application for warranty claims.
- No warranty on wireless remotes. Replacement only for inherent defects confirmed by our technicians.
- No warranty on PCBs damaged due to power surges or load-shedding. Recommend claiming from your insurance.
- Condensate pumps are not covered under warranty.
- All units must be serviced according to product and usage.
General Terms and Conditions:
- Failure to service from the date of installation/purchase will void the warranty.
- End users are responsible for contacting us to book services.
- Units remain the property of Sirair until full payment is made.
- Scaffolding charges apply for work above 5m. Outdoor units may need to be repositioned.
- Empty product boxes may be left or disposed of by the end user.
- Only Sirair installers/qualified installers recommended by Sirair can work on units.
- End users are responsible for electrical connections to their Distribution Board with an isolator.
- Prices may change without notice.
- Sirair reserves the right to cancel an order for abusive behavior or derogatory language.
- Units will only be replaced if confirmed as a factory defect by our technician/supplier.
- Fault finds/call-outs attended only after payment and within 3-5 working days.
- Call-out fees apply for various instances (e.g., aesthetic changes, spare replacements, distance).
- Warranties redeemed only if units are serviced. Proof of services required.
- Failure to pay for a call-out fee will void the warranty.
- Servicing not included in the warranty.
- Installation rescheduling and fees apply if the technician arrives and no one is home.
- Unit replacements subject to confirmation of a factory fault within the warranty period.
All sold goods must be picked up within 7days from payment.
If the service is not conducted from the date of installation/purchase, the manufacturer will not honor the warranty.
- It is the end users responsibility to contact our company to book their services.
- All units/goods remain the property of Sirair until full payment has been made.
- If working on heights above 5m is required, the end user will be charged for scaffolding and outdoor units will need to be placed at a lower positioning for safety of technicians and for future maintenance of units – for this extra labour costs will be incurred.
- Empty product boxes may be left at the clients premises and this may be kept or disposed of by the end user.
- Units supplied by our company may only be worked on by Sirair installer/qualified installer recommended.
- It is the end users responsibility to arrange the electrical connections to their Distribution Board with an Isolator (as required by law)
- We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice.
- Sirair reserves the right to cancel an order or reject an order if the end user is verbally abusive to technical or sales staff or utilizes racial slurs or derogative language
- Sirair will not replace any units installed unless its technician/ supplier has come onto site and confirmed a factory defect. Any call out fees from Supplier will be charged to client
- Fault Finds/ Call Outs will only be attended to once payment has been made and within 3-5 working days.
- Call out fees will apply in the following instances
- Spare replacement required (Even if unit is in warranty – client will be required to pay for a call out after 1 year comprehensive warranty is complete)
- For aesthetic changes to installation (Once job card has been signed and approved, client then warrants for no amendments to the installation)
- Call out fee will apply for units further than 40km away from Sirair’ Midrand Head office.
- Additional labour fees will apply if positioning is confirmed onsite and end user changes their mind mid-installation to a new position.
- Warranties may only be redeemed if units are serviced. Proof of services will be required.
- Failure to pay for a call out fee will deem the warranty null & void.
- Servicing of units is not included in the warranty.
- Once a time & date for installation is confirmed between both parties( Technician & End user) & technician is dispatched to site with no one being home to give him access to do the installation, please note that a call out fee will be incurred by client, installation will then be rescheduled.
- Sirair will not replace any units unless technician has come onto site & confirms it is in fact a factory fault that cannot be rectified by replacing spares.(Subjective to it being within the warranty period)
Air Conditioner Installations: Important Information (Terms and conditions)
Back-to-Back Installations: Air conditioner installations are designed for a back-to-back basis. This means the indoor unit is mounted on a flat external-facing wall with the outdoor unit directly positioned behind it. Refer to the example diagram below for clarification.
- Condensate Pumps: We do not provide warranties on condensate pumps as they may be affected by power surges, disruptions, and other external factors.
- Air-Conditioner Warranty: Sirair Air-conditioners come with a 5-year all-round warranty, subject to the stipulated service requirements below.
- Samsung Inverter Units: Samsung Inverter units have a 10-year compressor warranty.
- Sirair is not liable for damages resulting from malfunctions of units, especially when positioned above sensitive equipment such as servers, TVs, furniture, paintings, etc.
- Customers acknowledge and agree to bear liability for any damages related to this scenario, absolving Sirair of any responsibility.
- Sirair technicians do not run piping underground.
Service Requirements for Warranty:
To ensure the validity of the warranty, the following service requirements must be adhered to:
- Domestic Midwall Split Units (Home Environment): Service once annually.
- Domestic Midwall Split Units (Place of Work): Service twice annually.
- Commercial Air Conditioners: Service twice annually.
- Pool Heat Pumps: Service once annually.
- Geyser Heat Pumps: Service once annually.

Pool/Jacuzzi Heat Pump Installation
For an efficient and reliable heating solution for your pool or jacuzzi, follow the guidelines for installation and operation:
Location of Installation:
- The heat pump unit will be installed at the location of the pool pump for optimal functionality and convenience.
Electrical Supply:
- Installation does not include electrical supply. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for the necessary electrical connections to ensure proper functionality.
Sizing for Efficiency:
- A correctly sized pool heat pump is crucial for achieving and maintaining your desired pool temperature throughout the year. Ensure proper sizing for optimal efficiency and performance.
Operational Guidelines:
- Pool heat pumps should be run on a full cycle, uninterrupted, for a recommended duration of 48 to 76 hours. This practice ensures maximum efficiency in heating your pool or jacuzzi.
Mandatory Pool Blanket:
- For enhanced heat efficiency, the use of a pool blanket is mandatory. A solar heat blanket is recommended as it prevents heat loss, helping you achieve and maintain the desired temperature efficiently.
Geyser Heat Pump Installation
Location of Installation:
- The geyser heat pump will be installed at the location of the existing geyser, ensuring seamless integration.
Electrical Supply:
- Similar to the pool heat pump, electrical supply is not included in the installation. Customers must take responsibility for arranging the necessary electrical connections to enable proper functionality.
Proper Sizing for Efficiency:
- Properly sizing the geyser heat pump is essential for achieving the desired efficiency and performance. Ensure the unit is selected based on the specific requirements of your geyser.
Manufacturer’s Recommendations:
- It is imperative to install and operate the geyser heat pump in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Following these terms and conditions, guidelines ensures optimal efficiency and longevity of the unit.

- Prior to servicing, a thorough testing of the unit will be conducted. This is to assess its functionality and identify any potential issues, excluding repairs.
- The facial covers of the air conditioner will be carefully removed to access internal components for a detailed inspection and cleaning.
- The filters, essential for maintaining air quality, will be cleared out to remove accumulated dust and debris. This step enhances the overall efficiency of the unit.
- The blower wheel, also known as the drum fan, will be thoroughly cleaned. This ensures that air circulation remains unobstructed, contributing to improved performance.
- The condenser coil, a crucial component for heat exchange, will undergo a chemical wash. This process eliminates accumulated dirt and enhances the coil’s heat transfer efficiency.
- In cases where the refrigerant gas level is insufficient, it will be topped up to the recommended level. This is essential for maintaining optimal cooling performance.
